1. Conserve your Free Will Cards.

It is a good strategy to use the Free Will Cards to obtain tools (in Lands 3 and 4) before using them to obtain rings (in Lands 1 and 2).

2. Get the Master Wand first.

Of the tools, it is usually best to get the Master Wand first.  Obtaining the Master Wand eliminates the necessity of returning to the Spirit Realm and provides the critical power to enter the Dharma Wheel.

3.  Get a Master Torch if it's easy to do so. 

If you acquire one torch peg by chance, it can be a good strategy to use a Free Will Card to obtain a Master Torch.  The Master Torch guarantees the better outcome on all 12 Choice Card spaces on the board including three in Land 4, and thus enhances the player's ability to get a Master Wand in Land 4.

4. Complete your tools quickly. 

 It is a good strategy to complete a master tool once a peg is obtained.  This allows the player to benefit from a master tool's power sooner and it minimizes the risk of losing a tool peg.

5.  Land on Choice Card spaces.  

Once you have a Master Torch, the Choice Cards become positive for you and thus good to land on.  In addition, the Choice Cards in Lands 3 and 4 yield the option of another turn which is useful after you have all of your master tools.

6.  Prepare before entering Lands 1 and 2. 

In most cases you will have to re-enter Lands 1 and 2 to get rings.  It is a good idea to have a Master Torch and/or several Free Will Cards before re-entering these lands.

7.  Land on or leapfrog over other players. 

Once a player acquires a positive karmic majority it is a handy strategy to land on that player.  Similarly, if you find yourself following a cluster of players with negative karmic majority it can be a good strategy to use a Free Will Card or two to move ahead of them.

8.  Reconfigure your Free WIll Cards.  

There are several spaces in the Spirit Realm that allow you to exchange Free WIll Cards for other Free Will Cards which can sometimes improve your assortment of cards.

9.  Always consider looping through the temples. 

 It is always useful in Land 3 to calculate the outcome of both going through and going past a temple.

10.  Get insurance before making a dash to the finish. 

It's a good idea to stockpile a few extra rings before racing to the finish.  These rings provide protection against an unexpected bead.
